The Portuguese forward has commended the Algerian for keeping his cool while slowly adapting to life at the Etihad Stadium
Bernardo Silva has lauded Manchester City teammate Riyad Mahrez for being patient as he comes to grips with life at the Etihad Stadium.
He eventually picked up form and managed to rack up 12 goals and 12 assists in 44 competitive matches as City won the domestic treble.
Onto the current campaign, the 28-year old had a hand in 22 goals (nine goals, 13 assists) in 30 outings in all competitions.
“First of all, changing is always difficult. When you play at Leicester or Monaco and then move to a team like Man City it’s a huge step,” Bernardo Silva told City TV.
“You need to be patient. I was patient, Riyad was patient.
“He’s an unbelievable player and he is showing now, last season he showed every time he played, how good he was, he is.
“It’s a matter of time until you start developing and reaching the level that you want to reach.”
